About Xeene Here
A hub for women's sports fans, whether you've watched every WNBA game or just discovered the PWHL.
Why We Exist
The two primary reasons Xeene Here was created:
- Women throughout modern history have been treated as second class. Women's sports underscores the many ways throughout society this is true:
- less information about athletes' health due to limited research and funding
- less coverage in mainstream media and opportunities for partnerships (especially for Black and Brown athletes)
- lower wages for athletes
- more obstacles for fans to know when the games are, who's playing, and how to support their favorite teams/athletes
Xeene Here was created so that fans could have an easier experience getting involved with women's sports, less time searching and more time actually enjoying. While access to women's sports is steadily becoming more available, which is needed and great, one person may not be able to fix all the problems listed above, but as a community, we can all make an impact.
- What does community really mean? To us, community means finding a place that makes you feel safe to:
- be heard
- be seen
- grow
- feel like you belong
Xeene Here is a place where you show up authentically and find a place to call home. You get to choose: the spaces you want to be in and how you want to show up for the athletes & the industry.
- Some folks want to go to all the games in person and wear matching gear.
- Some folks want to knit while watching at a women's sports bar.
- Some folks want to make doodles of the games.
- Some folks want to read books.
- And some folks want to do it all.
Most importantly: there's no wrong way to show up.
“We created the table. Come find your seat.” - Xeene Here
Our mission for Xeene Here is to create a centralized hub to uplift individuals, companies, and organizations centered on women's sports. Xeene Here will continue to grow to meet the needs of the fans.
This is just the beginning of our story. If you would like to provide feedback, regarding anything from thoughts about the site, features you want to have, or if you/your organization would be interested in working with us, please go to Sports 101 and click “Give Us Feedback.”
How Xeene Here Works
Xeene Here is owned and operated by a small family business, CTC, LLC. CTC is a Women-Owned, Immigrant-Owned, and Latinx-Owned business. CTC was founded in 1993. Xeene Here was created by a small team of women.
Why Shop Through Us?
Our research has found that, due to lack of funding, many of the women's sports leagues do not have affiliate programs directly through the leagues, so we use third-party vendors until this changes.
Change comes by showing the industry that there is demand for their products. When demand changes, we will change how we serve you too.
And, unlike tariffs, affiliate programs don't put the burden on the customer.
Working Together
Xeene Here knows we are not alone in our mission to impact the women's sports industry.
We want to collaborate with others.
Our resources are still growing, but if you have an organization or group that supports women in sports, please join our Group List.
In the future, fans or prospective fans will be able to see your information and connect with you directly through our platform.
Small Business Impact
We are a small technology company with ethics at the forefront of everything we do.
In the future, we want to leverage our resources to support other small businesses through this platform.
If you have a small business and would like to work with us in the future, please email us through the Give Us Feedback link.
